Permom Lotion (5% Permethrin) is a topical antiparasitic used to treat scabies and head lice by killing mites and their eggs. It is applied to clean, dry skin, left on, then washed off. Common side effects include mild skin irritation, itching, or tingling.

  • Benefits:Highly effective in treating scabies (skin infestation) and pediculosis (lice/crab louse).
  • Ingredients:Contains 5% w/w Permethrin.
  • Side Effects:Mild burning, stinging, tingling, redness, or rash.
  • Precautions:Do not use if allergic to chrysanthemums or permethrin. Consult a doctor if pregnant, breastfeeding, or treating children. 

How to Use Permom Lotion:

  • Preparation:Ensure your skin is clean, dry, and cool before application.
  • Application:Apply a thin layer of the lotion over your entire body, from the neck down to the soles of your feet.
  • Targeted Areas:Pay special attention to areas where mites often hide, such as between fingers and toes, under the nails, in armpits, and skin folds.
  • Duration:Leave the lotion on for 8-14 hours (usually overnight).
  • Removal:Wash off the lotion thoroughly with soap and water after the designated time.
  • Treatment Cycle:A second treatment on day 8 is recommended. 

Potential Side Effects:

  • Mild skin irritation.
  • Itching (pruritus).
  • Burning
  • Skin rash or redness. 

Important Tips:

  • Keep the lotion away from your eyes, mouth, and nose.
  • Wash all clothing, bedding, and towels used by the patient in hot water to kill any remaining mites.
