C-Ket Soap is an external topical preparation combining two active ingredients to manage various skin conditions. It is primarily used to address issues caused by fungal and bacterial growth on the skin or scalp, such as ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, candidiasis, and seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff). The soap works by cleansing the affected areas, reducing microbial presence, and promoting healthier skin.

Ingredients of C-Ket Soap:

 

The primary active ingredients in C-Ket Soap (75gm) are: 

  • Ketoconazole (2% w/w): An antifungal agent that works by damaging the cell membranes of the fungi, which are essential for their survival, thereby killing them and stopping their growth.
  • Cetrimide (0.5% w/w): An antiseptic and cleansing agent that helps kill bacteria and other microorganisms on the skin surface, complementing the antifungal action and preventing secondary infections. 

Some formulations may also include ingredients like Aloe Vera and Glycerin to provide moisturizing benefits and prevent excessive dryness. 

Usage Instruction of C-Ket Soap:

 

  1. Wet the affected area with water.
  2. Gently rub the soap to produce a rich lather over the affected skin or scalp.
  3. Leave the lather on for a few minutes (typically 2-5 minutes) to allow the active ingredients to work effectively.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  5. Pat the skin dry with a clean, soft towel. Avoid rubbing the area harshly. 

Frequency: Use as advised by a doctor. It is typically recommended for use once or twice daily, or 2-3 times a week, depending on the condition being treated. 

Precautions:

  • For external use only.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth. If contact occurs, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water.
  • Do not use on open wounds, broken skin, or severely inflamed areas without consulting a doctor.

C-Ket Soap is generally well-tolerated, but some individuals may experience mild side effects at the application site. These can include:
